The building that houses the state employment office in 麻豆传媒 is up for sale.
The NC Works Career Center building, located at 722 E. Union St., Morganton, is on the market for $1.2 million, according to a listing with聽Brown Investment Properties based in Greensboro.
The property, which has a tax value of $658,218, is owned by John L. Middleton, whose address is listed as Greensboro, according to county land records. The building, which was built in 1981, was last sold in 2012 for $500,000, records show.
The 6,817-square-foot building has long been the home of the state employment office.
The state rents the office building for NC Works. David Rhoades, communications director for the N.C. Department of Commerce, said he doesn鈥檛 have any reason to believe that will change.
The building has 55 parking spaces and sits on 2.23 acres, according to the listing.
While the building is fully leased, there is an area of the acreage that can be subdivided for residential or commercial use, the listing said. The lot is a 鈥淯鈥� shape with an area of 25,000 square feet that can be divided.
