A South Carolina woman is charged with attempted murder after a shooting in the parking lot of the Courtyard by Marriott in Hickory.
In a press release issued on Thursday after 5 p.m., Hickory Police said the department is investigating an attempted murder that occurred around 4 a.m. on Dec. 19.
Hickory officers were called to 1946 13th Avenue Drive SE, which is the address of the Hickory hotel, and found Jeremy Antwoine Hubbard, 35, of St. Louis, Missouri, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Hubbard was flown by helicopter from the scene to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem where he is in stable condition, the report said.
Police charged Cadisha Laquana Kadia Hill, 31, of Columbia, South Carolina, with first-degree attempted murder. Hill, police said, is a “known acquaintance of Hubbard.”
This investigation is ongoing, police said.
