Bobby Arlen Denton, 85, of Morganton, N.C., died Thursday, December 5, 2024.
Born in Burke County, N.C. on April 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Ben Denton and Virgie Smith Michaels.
Bobby was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Broughton Hospital. He was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. He was a lifelong skater, and he enjoyed tinkering in his shop with the many items he collected throughout the years.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 34 years, Connie S. Denton; nephew, Michael Denton; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his infant girls, Amanda Faith Denton and Christy Michelle Denton; son, Jason Lee Denton; brother, David Denton; and nephew, Richard Denton.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home.
