LA Wildfires Force SAG Awards To Cancel Live Nominations Event

The Screen Actors Guild has canceled the live announcement of the 31st annual SAG Awards nominations in Los Angeles due to the devastating fires in the area. The nominations are now set to be announced via a press release. SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher was set to open the ceremony, with Kristen Bell serving as host. Joey King and Cooper Koch were scheduled to announce the nominees, while Jane Fonda was set to receive the organization’s highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award. The live SAG Awards nominations announcement is the latest Hollywood event to be canceled due to the devastating wildfires raging across Los Angeles. Universal and Amazon MGM Studios canceled the premieres of 'Wolf Man' and 'Unstoppable', while Paramount canceled the premieres of 'Better Man' and 'The Pitt.'
