The Big Lots store in Â鶹´«Ã½ is is expected to reopen June 5, according to a Variety Wholesalers spokesperson.
Big Lots declared bankruptcy last year. Many stores were bought by North Carolina-based Variety Wholesalers.
Variety Wholesalers took over ownership of 219 Big Lots stores and remodeled them, many in North Carolina and other locations in the eastern United States. Nine Big Lots reopened on April 10.
The spokesperson said Big Lots in Hickory and Newton will reopen May 1, and Statesville and Mooresville will reopen May 15.

The company plans to have most of the stores it acquired open by early June.

The company said Big Lots stores will have “a large selection of closeout deals and new merchandise categories.â€
Variety Wholesalers also owns Roses Discount Stores, Roses Express and Maxway.
The Big Lots in Marion was not acquired by Variety Wholesalers. The future of that location is uncertain. The store was flooded during Hurricane Helene in September.
