A domestic disturbance late Sunday ended in a felony charge for a Â鶹´«Ã½ woman.
Yoselin Elena Lopez Velasquez, 19, of Morganton, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, driving while impaired, driving after consuming, consuming alcohol by a 19- or 20-year-old and a crime of domestic violence, according to information from the Â鶹´«Ã½ Department of Public Safety.
Charges against Lopez Velasquez came after police responded to a car wreck at 198 Curtis St., Morganton, public safety said. Two vehicles were about 40 feet off the road with no occupants. One of the vehicles had been pushed into the woods, public safety said.
Neighbors reported hearing the collision and seeing two people run up the street away from the crash. Officers found Lopez Velasquez, one of the drivers, walking on Curtis Street, public safety said.

She told officers she intentionally hit the car her boyfriend was driving, public safety said. Officers found and interviewed her boyfriend. Lopez Velasquez was screened for driving while impaired before she was arrested and charged.
She was held at the Burke County Jail without bond, public safety said. She was due in court Monday morning.
