Burke County Public Schools will not have in-person classes on Friday due to possible snow and ice.Â
The schools will have a remote learning day, the school system said in a news release Thursday afternoon.Â
Teachers will contact students and families about attendance and assignments, the release said.Â
Sporting games, practices and extracurriculars are canceled, the release said.
McDowell County Schools and Catawba County Schools will be closed Friday. Caldwell County Schools will be dismissed three hours early.
