Mrs. Evelyn Deal Sanders Owens, 86, of Valdese, passed away on Sunday March 23, 2025, at Magnolia Nursing Center, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Owens was born June 19, 1938, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Lawrence Nelson and Myrtle Dallas Settlemyre Deal. Evelyn was a member of the Valdese First Baptist Church and retired after many years of dedicated service from Valdese Weavers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Rand Sanders; a daughter, Sharon Lee Williams; a sister, Margaret Miller; a grandson, Joshua Sanders; and granddaughter, Michelle Sanders.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Sanders (Leo Witkowski) of Granite Falls; two sisters, Lucille Holden and Carolyn Anderson, both of Â鶹´«Ã½; a grandson, Jordan Mackenzie Sanders of Granite Falls; and a granddaughter, Jesica Powell.
Graveside Services for Evelyn Deal Sanders Owens will be held Thursday March 27, 2025, in Hillcrest Cemetery, with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating.
