The Fallen Heroes Ministry collaborated with Bumgarner Oil Co. to wrap a tanker truck for , a national veteran nonprofit geared toward preventing suicide.
The Hickory company’s tanker is wrapped with an image of the silhouettes of soldiers. The words, “When their tour is over, our mission begins†are printed on the tanker.
Mission 22 N.C. Ambassador Kevin Evans said seeing the tanker truck unveiled made him emotional.
“Our slogan is, ‘We are united in the war against veteran suicide,’†Evans said.
Evans said getting to talk to families that have been impacted by veteran suicide is tough, but it has taught him to be a listener because sometimes these family members just need to rant.
The organization provides veterans with resources to address issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries, substance abuse and more.
