A tire store in Â鶹´«Ã½ was destroyed in a fire Wednesday evening.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Department of Public Safety was called to a fire at Alray Tire Center on Carbon City Road in Â鶹´«Ã½ just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, according to information from the department.
When officers arrived, heavy smoke and fire were coming from behind the building. The fire spread to the attic of the building within minutes, consuming the entire roof of the building, according to public safety.
Firefighters worked for several hours to control the blaze, which spread into the woods behind the business, public safety said.
The fire did not spread to any other structures, public safety said. Dry conditions contributed to the fire’s rapid spread.
No employees were at the tire center during the time of the fire, and no injuries were sustained.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Burke County EMS, the city of Â鶹´«Ã½ electric department, Piedmont Natural Gas and the city of Â鶹´«Ã½ building inspector all responded, as well.
