The three Maiden residents who were shot and killed on Tuesday have been identified.
Jenna Lynn Cox, 28, and her parents, Cyndi Marie Cox, 61, and Charles Kevin Cox, 61, were killed at 19 PJ McRee Road Tuesday evening, acting Maiden Police Chief Tyler Whisenant said in an updated news release on Wednesday.
Jenna Cox’s ex-boyfriend, Issac Nathaniel Christenbury, 27, of Iron Station, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, Whisenant said.
Whisenant said the shooting possibly stemmed from a dispute between Jenna Cox and Christenbury.
“I’m trying to get it out of my head. That’s all I see,†neighbor Peggy Beeson said about finding the bodies of Cyndi Cox and Charles Cox. “Trying to just get it out of my head. I don’t want to see it anymore.â€
Beeson, 51, lives across the street from the crime scene. Beeson said she has lived in the neighborhood since February.

Beeson said she was grilling out with her husband and her brother. Beeson said her brother was outside and said he heard gunshots.
“We come running out,†Beeson said. “As soon as I opened that door, I heard what sounded like a woman scream and another gunshot.â€
Beeson said immediately after hearing the gunshot, she saw a man walk to a white car and drive away. The car was parked in front of the house on PJ McRee Road.
Beeson said it was eerie how calmly the man got into his car and drove away slowly. The man was later identified by Maiden police as Christenbury.
Maiden police were called to the scene shortly before 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Whisenant said.
While Beeson was standing outside, a young boy, around 10 years old, ran up to her, she said.
Beeson said the boy said his mama’s boyfriend shot and killed his grandparents. He said they were shot in the head.
Whisenant confirmed that Jenna Cox’s 10-year-old son was present at the time of the shooting. The boy was not injured. Beeson said she followed the boy back to the home of his grandparents.
Beeson said she has been a nurse for 22 years and thought she could help. Beeson said she found Cyndi Cox and Charles Cox inside the house lying face down in a pool of blood. She said she checked their pulses. They were dead.
Beeson said police officers found Jenna Cox behind the house.
